Why is writing a test tricky?
All our test are now passing with RC6+ (latest head). The problem described above only occurs in deployed mode. We unfortunately don't have a test to reproduce the above issue. We should work on one. I am not the most familiar with the Portlet Prefs implementation though and writing a test for that particular issue may be a bit tricky.
Can't we just load a test portlet.xml into the registry, and then try to read it back out.
Or are there more complicated steps to reproduce this bug?
