Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JS1-65
Summary: Does not compile with 2.3 version of servlets.jar
Type: Bug
Status: Resolved
Resolution: FIXED
Project: Jetspeed
Components:
Miscellaneous
Fix Fors:
1.6-dev
Versions:
1.3a3-dev / CVS

Description:
I couldn't compile one of the Jetspeed sources after I had replaced servlets_2.2.jar
with 2.3 version taken from Tomcat 4.0.2.
To fix it method 'reserBuffer()' should be implemented in
file/src/java/org/apache/jetspeed/util/servlet/EcsServletResponse.java.
After placing empty method (= empty body; I've made this after the 'reset()' method
example) inside EcsServletResponse class everything compiles and seems to work all
right but I don't know whole design of Jetspeed, so maybe unspecified problems can
appear now.
