In case somebody is still having trouble with this...
If you have a look at jetspeed.log, you should see something like
"Failed to retrieve 'X' from PortletRegistry" just before the stack
trace, where 'X' is a portlet (probably SessionWatcher) defined in some
psml but not the portlet registry. Removing it from the psml file(s)
should make the problem go away.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Stephan and those
who contributed to the new API on some very impressive work! The new API
will make Jetspeed infinitely more powerful than it already is.
I know that everybody is hard at work getting 1.3a2 ready. Will merging
the new portlet API into the HEAD revision be the next priority after
1.3a2 is released?
