Unfortunately the much better group modified proposal using the capability 
map was more work than I originally had planned so I haven't had time to 
work on it yet.  I expect to have some time again in a couple of weeks, but 
can't promise it for sure.  If someone else wants to implement the 
suggested fix in the meantime feel free to go ahead  (Raphael? Santiago? 
Paul? Anybody?).
