Hello everyone, First post on the list from a Jetspeed Newbie (only installed the stuff and played with it for a while).
Mark, maybe you should take in account that logging style is different on Windows 2000 IIS. Apache -> Common Log File IIS -> W3C Extended Log File (see http://www.w3.org/TR/WD-logfile.html) Important difference between two logging styles is that you can customize W3C Format (if you don't need a field then you just don't log it, therefore reducing size of log files). You might want to consider in the implementation the possibility to choose between two (or more) logging styles in the future and only implement Common Log File for the moment. BTW the equivalent of WebTrends in the OpenSource World is Analog (www.analog.cx) which I have been using for a couple years and strongly recommend. Good thing in Analog is that it supports both Logging styles (Common Log File and W3C Extended). Regards, Franck Lumpe Iberplus Internet, S.L. www.iberplus.es P.S. Yes I read your suggestion about using Bugzilla for coments but opted for mailing list for easier comunication. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Orciuch" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Jetspeed Developers List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, August 16, 2002 10:51 PM Subject: [PROPOSAL] Portlet usage logging > I have created an enhancement request in Bugzilla for this proposal: > > http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11737 > > I am also attaching my proposal document draft to this email.
