Bingo! Yes, that was exactly it. It seems the mixture of the jar
files with compiling Jetspeed classes using IBM's 1.4.1 is bad news.
I've switched to using the Sun j2sdk 1.4 and all these problems have
vanished. I have other problems, of course, but those are my own
doing ;)
