It causes the portlet to lose what type it is. This could potentially cause a NullPointerException when trying to add the portlet to a psml. I've attached a patch file that should fix this as well as a couple of other minor issues. How to replicate: 1) Add a portlet 2) customize that portlet's information 3) Try to add your new portlet to a psml via the psml customizer 4) Nothing will happen. The portlet browser will be empty.
