Hi Ender,

Glad to hear that you are making progress on the mailportlet.

There are couple of issues I came across with your portlet.

[1] To get Turbine to find your module I had to add the line

module.packages=org.openisp.jetspeed.modules

to mailportlet.properties file.

[2] I have trouble getting it to display message body of the mail. I get
$htmlrewriter.convertURLs($message.getBody(),"http://localhost";) instead.

[3] Images are missing. E.g images/folder_small.png. I guess these were missing from the Zip file you posted.

I will let you know if I come across any more issues.

If you are in short of time, mail me the code I will have a look and see if I can help you to finish it off.

Cheers,
Roshan

Hi All,

I am looking for a simple mail portlet for Jetspeed.

I have seen some discussions about creating an example Mail portlet
(Bugzilla #11830). What is the status of that work?

Ive tried the mailportlet Ender posted to the list sometime ago based on
JWMA. I have managed to get it working, it works great. But more work could
be done. Unfortunately there is no source code for that. I understand there
are some licensing issues that need to be resolved for that. JWMA site says
its BSD style license. Is that incompatible with Apache license? I thought
they are similar. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I am willing put some effort developing a mail portlet and contribute it to
Jetspeed. I am looking some pointers to start from. Or if there is already
active work being done on this area I will be glad to give a hand.

Cheers, Roshan
