That is on the todo list, as we are still debating how we want to approach security.

These are all great features, unfortunately, I do not think the spec supports them and 
writing a portlet that uses these features would effectively make that portlet 
non-portable.

Jetspeed does implement a valve architecture.  As for portlet rendering, that is left 
up the portlet application itself.

Definitely something we probably want to do but that would be more in the future as it 
is less of a requirement to develop and implement a portal.
