OK I think I know why ot fails for me: I live in France and I use a French ISP ;)
Apparently Google uses something like GeoIP to redirect customers to there
"local" search portal. That means that the only thing I get from www.google.com
is a small redirect page to www.google.fr which of course does not include the
word google, hence the search failure.
I see 2 options to fix this : - drop google and use another external web reference - somehow fix the lucence crawler to follow the HTTP redirects (302).
Option #1 is easier but option #2 is generally more useful.
