i think the problem is not in the portlet code!
where is the page code is geerated? from the portlet it doesn't work!
i have put response.setContentType("text/xml"); at the beginning of each
function(doview,dohelp, etc) and it doesn't work the produced page is
still html!
Could you attach your code (a sample method)?
