Siva,

Try this:

After installing/starting Jetspeed and pointing a browser to the instance,
you should see a page with two tabs on the top. On the default (opening)
page (Welcome to Jetspeed 2) you will see a login portlet. If this is the
first time you have logged in, your user id is admin and the password is
admin. go ahed and login to this portlet. If this is the first time you have
logged in you will then be prompted to change your password. Go ahead and
change your password. At this point, you will see approximately seven tabs
appear towards the top of the page. Click on the tab labeled "My Second PSML
Page". You will note that there are two portlets on this page. The bottom
one of the two is a "SSO Web Content" portlet. By default, the logon is
correct for the NY Times site, less the User ID and Password. Entereing
these values and clicking "Save" should log you in to the NY Times Site.
Personally, I prefer to re-start my browser after making a credential change
like this to ensure that everything is started clean but I do not believe
this is completely necessary.

After you have experimented with this a little, note that towards the upper
left of the page there is a link labeled "Jetspeed Administrative Portlets".
Clicking on this link will place several new tabs near the top of the page.
There is an SSO Management tab. This tab contains portlets used to control
how portlets automatically sign in to various sites based on the login
presented to Jetspeed. To say that another way, depending on who logs in to
Jetspeed, the poertals can pass different credentials to sites such as the
NY Times. There is currently some development work going on in this area.

Additionally, On the "My Second PSML Page" tab noted above, you will find
the time and date on the right side of the page just below the row of tabs.
Near the time and date you will see an icon that looks like a pencil. Click
on this icon (Edit) to open the editor for the page. Please be sure you open
the editor for that page and NOT the editor for the top portlet. Near the
top of hte page on the Right side, you will see a plus ("+") sign near a
label that says "Add Portlet". Click this plus sign and you will be
presented with a large selection of different types of portlets that you can
add to the page. Note that you can add portlets to other pages (or tabs) in
a similar manner.

Hope this helps.

- Tom
