I would like to propose that the next version is 2.2

If we see the need to release a 2.1.1 earlier its easy enough to do so.
If no one objects, I will create a new 2.2-dev version in JIRA
I'm investigating if I can still fix some issues before the 2.1 release,
otherwise I'll defer them to the next version once it is defined in JIRA.
