Glen Mazza commented on JS2-1216:
---------------------------------

If I may generalize this bug, it looks like the tutorial was not updated to
account for the latest Jetspeed archetype (when I deploy the updated decorators
following the tutorial things frequently look much different --and sometimes
buggy--than the illustrations in the tutorial). It would be good for a
Jetspeed committer to go through the tutorial with the new archetype and make
sure the illustrations are correct as well as have any archetype bugs that turn
up as a result of following this tutorial fixed.

> Hello, the "Modifying The Default Page" section of the Jetexpress tutorial
> (http://portals.apache.org/jetspeed-2/tutorial/02/default-page.html) has
> these instructions:
> * for the layout-decorator, replace jetspeed with jetexpress
> * for the portlet-decorator, replace jetspeed with jetexpress
> <page id="default-page">
> <defaults layout-decorator="jetexpress" portlet-decorator="jetexpress"
> (just snippet given, not full element).
> But the jetexpress-portal/src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/pages/default-page.psml
> file it refers to no longer has a "defaults" element to place these values
> in. This tutorial should be updated to give the full <defaults/> element
> that we need to insert into this file and not a snippet (we don't know how
> many more attributes need to be added), or have the archetype updated to
> provide the <defaults/> element again.
