I am trying to get the latest jetspeed running in Visual Age - so I
can track down my new user problems - the secret does not seem to get
the user "confirmed".
As part of that, I tried compiling with jikes and have the following
patch - and minor tidy up - as Log.note is now deprecated.

PS Does anyone else notice CVS being REAL SLOW? Its taking ages to
do anything. Its been like this for the last week or so.
