I'd like to add groups ... perhaps over the weekend. There are still some
dependencies....

( As for the TURBINE_USER_GROUP_ROLE table, I always hard-code to one group:
the Jetspeed Group. )

I didn't see the need for using groups in this case - besides it is
changing in the next version of turbine to 'project'

You can still use groups in PSML ( /jetspeed/portal/group/apache ) for
storing resources, but the group name will not be verified against Turbine
security.

What I still need to do, is tie in the PSMLManager api to the Jetspeed
Security screens.
Right now, the User directories are correctly created and deleted from the
Jetspeed Security screens.
However the group and role PSML directories and default resources are not
created/deleted.
This will soon be possible with the new PSMLManager interfaces that I hope
to check in this week

In turbine, users are not in groups. They have roles that can be applied to
a group.
Im not sure if I want to invest to much time (assigning users to groups)
until I see how this works out in Turbine.
So there are still group resources - but the problem is that I haven't setup
the Security to validate that a user is allowed to access a group resource.
Thus any user can access a group resource.

I guess I don't really like the way the URBINE_USER_GROUP_ROLE
relation-table works.

In the current system, there is a default role that (isn't configurable)
that every new user is assigned to.
Its the 'user' role. (This should be configurable - thanks)
What also needs to be configurable is which psml page(s) are assigned to new
users.
This could be actually be done with the GUI - perhaps we need to have a
group of 'default' resources to select from.
Your simple few questions have stirred up some good ideas - thanks!
