Further on this discussion, we implemented cookie based logons in a portal we
recently implemented. I'm pretty sure this was a dodgy hack done using
javascript, so it should be accessible from the website
<http://qld.ieaust.org.au/jetspeed/>. If anyone is interested I can get the
details from the guy who implemented it. But it seems that an alternate logon
action would be a better soln.
