hello again,
sorry to be so verbose, but I am really trying.
My portlets.xreg file gets overriden at each startup of Tomcat.
Is it the expected behaviour?

First, make sure that it's not a Tomcat related issue: remove the war file
once it's expanded so that Tomcat can't try to reexpand it.

Be aware that jetspeed write all the config files at shutdown to reflect the

memory state and that it'll detect on disk registry changes only every minutes
This means that if you update an xreg file and immediately shutdown jetspeed,
you'll lose your updates.

If you can see your portlet in a PSML file or the portlet browser, then it
should be persisted correctly on shutdown. If not, please send a detailed
report of your setup, log files and manipulations so that we can try to
reproduce it.

My fault,

It doesn't happen when I take the precaution of shutting down Tomcat before editing the file, so that problem is solved.

thanks a lot for your help.

I am keeping posting ;-).
