This is how I did it with VAJ 3.5.3.
I was not able to get Websphere Test Env (WTE) up to test Jetspeed (could
not get it to recognise taglib) so I had to install Apache Tomcat Test (TTE)
env. The foll. are my personal notes (hence not all may apply).
1. Install VAJ 3.5.3.
2. Startup.
3. Go to File-QuickStart-Features-AddFeature-Websphere Test Env. The
WTE adds essential packages like the IBM XML Parser, etc.
4. Save workspace.
5. Delete WTE project.
6. Delete the feature Servlet API 2.2 from File-QS-Features-Remove
Feature.
7. Download the Tomcat3.2.1.zip file from ibm.com and unzip.
8. Run setup.exe in the Tomcat folder.
9. Start up VAJ.
10. Delete IBM JSP Engine project from VAJ.
11. Go to File-Quickstart-Features-AddFeature-Tomcat Test Env.
12. Startup Tomcat in VAJ by going to TomcatRunner.
13. Create new project "Jetspeed".
14. Import jar files in the following order:
activation.jar,
xerces.jar (answer yes to creation of new edition of org.xml.sax.helpers,
org.w3c.dom, org.xml.sax),
xalan.jar (gives org.apache.xalan.xpath error),
village.jar,
mail.jar,
hsql.jar,
ecs.jar,
velocity.jar (gives 7 problems)
Castor.jar (10 problems).
Turbine.jar (18 problems)
Deleted files with compilation problems since I reckoned I didn't have to
use those files.
You may leave out the import of servlet2.2.jar since this comes with the
tomcat test env.
15. Import Jetspeed srouce into Jetspeed project.
16. To run debugger in tomcat, go to TomcatRunner, right click and select
check classpath. Select all projects.
