Dear All,
from the mail advised, it was clear what the problem was but not the
solution. This is found in another mail. Steps are :
<quote>
1. Create a backup directory (I never do like deleting libraries, so I
move them to an unregistered directory)
Ex. 'tomcat/oldlibs'
2. Move 'jaxp.jar' and 'parser.jar' from the 'tomcat/lib' to the new
backup directory
3. Copy the 'xerces_1_3_1.jar' and 'xalan-2.0.1.jar' files from the
'tomcat/webapps/jetspeed/WEB-INF/lib/' directory to the 'tomcat/lib'
directory.
4. Restart tomcat
</quote>
What is puzzling is that why does parser.jar and jaxp.jar need to be
removed? I initially reordered them in the classpath and it should have
settled it but somehow a preference is show to the original DOM libs. Also,
this makes it potentially incompatible with all other apps eg jboss..:(
