jsp tag question

I am still using 1.3a1, but I want to know how I can use the value:
<jetspeed:info requestedInfo="UserName" />
to set it or compare it to another String in JSP. JSP does not lag the tag
syntax.


<% String UserName = "<jetspeed:info requestedInfo="UserName" />" %>

This does not fly. What are my options?
