Which WAP Emulator are you using?
I recently re-enabled minimal WAP support in Jetspeed, and tested with
Openwave 5.0 and Nokia WAP toolkit emulators.
I have yet to put back in the login capability that was in 1.3a1.
If you'd like to add that, you can start with:
/webapp/WEB-INF/psml/anon/wml/default.psml
/webapp/WEB-INF/templates/vm/navigations/wml/top.vm
/webapp/WEB-INF/templates/vm/layouts/wml/default.vm
/webapp/WEB-INF/templates/vm/screens/wml/Home.vm
