I'd like to add just a thing to point 5.
Probably you'll need to re-deploy the war many times...

This command will be useful:

wartoxmlconfig
c:\Code\CVS\Jakarta\Jetspeed\jakarta-jetspeed\bin\jetspeed.war
c:\Code\Portale\jetspeed1.3.a2 TWTJR TWTJR TwtPortal TwtPortalServletEngine
default_host /webapp/PortaleProva PortaleProva

You can find the syntax on the redbook sg246161 on page 368.
