I was looking at the same problem. Here is the solution I came up with.
Create a controller which looks for all parameters that begin with the
portletname. The controller can then use these parameters to determine what
content you wish to display. Now, your other portlets can send parameters
directly to this portlet when the page refreshes.

Subject: (another try) Xsl portlet, action class and parameters

I've got no answers to my question so I try to ask again. Thanks for
your help.

Im trying to pass a parameter to a XSL portlet from another one.

The first XSL portlet show link to documents

I want to pass the document rerefrence to another Xsl Portlet which
present information about the document chosen.

Any idea to do this ?

I start to write an Action class but I dont know how to get the
destination portletconfig to set the parameter (I see in sources that
the XSL portlet pass parameters to the stylesheet with the
Initparameters from portletConfig).

Hope you understand my problem.

Thanks for those who could help me.
