Rajan, Samples can be found in the <jetspeed-home>/WEB-INF/templates/jsp directory tree.
Currently their are problems using the jsp layout engine. Review the Jetspeed user mailing list at http://www.mail-archive.com/ for more information on the problems. The problems do not prevent you from using the JSP portlet type.
