I have been trying to make that portlet run for 2 hours now, to no avail... but I'm not convinced even this will solve my problem. If I have been unclear: I want, when the user clicks on a link from that external page displayed in my portlet, that the page referenced by that link is displayed inside my portlet. I don't want to open another pop-up, neither want the new page to occupy the whole browser window. And I think iframes still would make the new page occupy the whole browser window.
well, I'll let u people know if i find a solution ... thanx for the help. >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 03/20/02 11:23AM >>> On Wednesday 20 March 2002 01:49 am, Zhenying Wu wrote: > > is there a way to display an external site in an applet and allow > the > user to surf that site _without_ leaving our portal, Check out the IFRAME portlet. It is not in the 1.3a2 release build - you'll have to grab a nightly build or go straight to the jetspeed cvs repository. One drawback is the requirement that browsers must support the IFRAME tag but most recent ones do.
