I`m in the phase of planning to build an EIP using jetspeed.
However, we are currently using Struts as our
MVC framework, and after having researched on portlet api, I realized
that portlet api are mainly designed for
rendering VIEW part of application, and has little to do with Model &
Application State. It is possible, then, to
call struts controller from portlet VIEW; but the request dispatching is
another problem. Having one portlet display
different view in different application state is another problem: it is
doable, but would be ugly. I`d like to hear some
integration experience from you. Until now, the best solution that comes
in my mind is using an IFRAME portlet
to integrate all external application....
