Chris,

Indeed we will be attempting to deploy the par files we create for WPS. The
objective is to test our portlets on both platforms as they are modified and
committed to cvs. This means having a baseline version of WPS and Jetspeed
running on a production box. Nightly we desire to redeploy the portlets in
the repository on each platform and run a series of test scripts against the
newly installed codebase.

We would likely freeze on a known stable instance of Jetspeed (and WPS for
that matter) so building the jetspeed source should not be necessary. From
your comments I believe the best way to proceed is to create a default war
file that represents the baseline instance of Jetspeed. The old jetspeed app
could be deleted and the instance rebuilt through redeploying the war file.
This seems simple enough...

Thanks for helping me clarify my own thinking,

David

Jetspeed does not currently support par files - is this an IBM Portal
facility?

I assume your project is using Jetspeed and you want to keep up to
date with the latest versions (or at least update it a few times)...

What I've found useful is to build the jetspeed jar/jarsrc and
war-template targets in Jetspeed. These 3 can then be used within
your project to build the complete app by merging them.

HTH,
Chris
