Indra, 1) you have to do the following change in JetSpeedResources.properties.
By default it is like this. ######################################### # Profiler Service # ######################################### services.Profiler.newuser.template=turbine So instead of turbine you can specify your user 2) In order to have different layout for different users, I think there are 2 ways. i) you can alter the default.psml file for each user in the folder <jetspeed-home>/WEB-INF/psml/user/<user-name>/html. ii) Once the new user is created, you can log in using his/her username&Pw and go to the customize section to change the layout of portlets or add/remove portlets etc. if you are not comfortable with modifying psml files, second way is prefered. Where it was define ? Coz when i remove the 'turbine' user, i cant add new user.. jetspeed become 'error' in adding user new user ? And i still have the same question .. can i define the screen of each user depend on his/her role ? so user with the same role will has the same screen when the first time he / she login. I used jetspeed 1.3a2, and i've download source of the latest version of jetspeed.. when i try to compare with the last one.. it's quite different .. does it handle jetspeed user on the same way with the last one (version 1.3a2)?
