Wayne:
You can only have one portlet application open at one time and as many regular
portlets as you want.
There is a portlet api draft around there, but it is much more similar to IBM
implementation rather than Jetspeed impl.
Ive been working almost 2 years with Sybase portlets, and there is no big diference
between portlets and servlets. Think every portlet as an small servlet. On a portal
page you can show lot info together and you build it independetly piece by piece,
portlet by portlet, instead a huge servlet doing the same thing.
As every portlet is independant from the other, we have been building real time apps
as not so, like emergency and doctor atendance, CRM and cash management, every thing
on the same portal for the same medical company.

Subject: portal application
Can someone explain the difference between a regular portlet and a portlet application?
or better still, perhaps provide a link to some good documentation/glossary of
portlet-eeze?
Having skipped over servlets, JSPs, etc, and being dumped right into portlets, I feel
like I'm at a disadvantage.
