You're that they are significant differences between Websphere and Jetspeed.
You can find a previous incarnation of the API used by Websphere in the Jetspeed CVS HEAD: jakarta-jetspeed/scratchpad/portlet-api and a sample implementation of this API in a Jetspeed environment in the CVS branch 'portlet_api'. The only caveat is that the 'portlet_api' branch has not kept up with the feature development in the main branch so you'll probably lack a lot of features. Additionnally, the latest Websphere API is used as one of the basis for JSR 168 (check it up on www.jcp.org), which should produce a standard Java Portlet specification draft really soon now... Once this draft is out, it's likely that many current implementations (including Jetspeed and Websphere) will support it maybe in addition to their own "native" API. > -----Message d'origine----- > De : Wayne A Christian [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Envoye : mardi 3 septembre 2002 16:59 > A : Jetspeed Users List > Objet : RE: About Portlets ( WebSphere & JetSpeed ) > > > Does anyone have any comments on this? > While looking through the (many) websphere jar files I > thought I located what looked like the portlet API. > There were jetspeed packages, however, it seemed to me that > IBM had totally reengineered the jetspeed stuff they > supply.
