If you run this
http://localhost:8080/jetspeed/portal?action=JLoginUser&username=turbine&pas
sword=turbine
This will log the user turbine into Jetspeed...so if you can pass your HTTP
creds onto JS in a similar manner (maybe using a helper servlet in between).
It's not too elegant but it's quick and simple...

Subject: skipping the anon screen?
I'd like to set up a portal that does not display an anonymous screen, but
forces the user to log in immediately.
In fact, I was thinking of handling the authentication outside of Jetspeed
at the Tomcat level (HTTP Authentication), but was wondering how to pass
those credentials in to Jetspeed.
Anybody already done this?
