Have you made the effort of browsing through the mailing list archives ? And have you read the following document ? http://www.bluesunrise.com/jetspeed-docs/JetspeedTutorial.htm It tells you a lot on how to customize Jetspeed ;-)

Hi,
Pardon me if this question has been posted before. Perhaps some of you will be kind enough to point me in the right direction. I find myself with a bit of time and I figured I would take the time to learn something new. Jetspeed cought my eye and I have been poking around to see how its build. As a toy problem, I have tasked myself to identify (and document) all extension points in Jetspeed. I dug deep and came up with PortletControl. If I understand the documentation correctly, PortletControl is a decorator portlet. What I have not been able to figure out is where the relationship between PortletControl and the various actions (Modes?) that the contained portlet exposes in held. What I mean are the various actions like maximizable, minimizable ets, what are these? Where is this information kept (PSML, XREG?). If I use the word Portlet Mode (which I read about as well), how do I create new Modes (for instance emailable) for a portlet?
I shall incorporate the answers into a nice "real world" example and give it back to apache. Any takers?
good day
Avram
