Thanks for you speedy response,
I am deploying via a new tool that WAS5 offers. It is an html based tool.
I have used the pre-compiled war downloaded from the site, and also I tried
waring my jetspeed webapp in my tomcat and sending that up. WAS5 asks for
a different web.xml standard (2.3) so I tried changing that also. I am
still coming up blank. If you can get a version of it, I also had to
change that where it was looking for classs files. In WAS5 you can tell it
to load the parent (websphere lib) last. I was hoping that this would
discourage different parsers that might mess with jetspeed. (Before doing
that all I got was a blank screen, at least now I get an error message)
We are running WAS5 on AIX....go figure huh. I am not areal big fan of
that operating system.
I have used that other tool for deployment, but it got replaced in WAS5.
Again, thanks for your help,
Paul R. Johnson

Paul,
How did you deploy Jetspeed? Doesn't WAS have a client tool for
accomplishing this? I have not worked with WAS in a while. Did you use
the jetspeed.war? The war file, in tomcat at least, is placed in the
webapp directory and is unpacked into a directory of the same name as the
war file when the container is started.
We are an IBM business partner. So I will see if I can scrounge up a copy
of WAS 5 and test it (time permitting). What platform are you deploying
on: NT/2000/XP, Linux, iSeries/AS400?
