I've used Gallery with postnuke and I was looking for the same kind of
functionality within a Java portlet.  Looks like I'll be setting up my
own.  Argh.

I don't know of any integrated Jetspeed portlet for this yet, but I use

open source Gallery

online photo album posting. It lets you post messages, comments, ..etc..
Only took about an hour to setup on WinXP with Apache 2.0.

I don't know of any photo portlets for Jetspeed.
Im also interesting in sports team portals for local teams
