Vic,

All that David and I are trying to get at is that we feel advertising a product on an
open source mailing list is somewhat "in bad taste". And the fact that the product
does not use Jetspeed makes it even more so.

There are a couple of people on this list, myself included, who work for companies
that sell products based on Jetspeed. I have never, EVER used this list as vehicle to
promote that product or any of my companies other products. I admit I have posted
links to our demo sites, but for the soul purpose of displaying advanced look and feel
concepts that I plan on contributing back into the Jetspeed code base anyway.

This list is meant to further the Jetspeed community and help those who are interested
in Jetspeed build great software using Jetspeed as the foundation. Posts regarding
proprietary software that require payment and an "alternate" license for commercial
use, is both counterproductive and adds unneeded traffic to the list.

I am sure you have a great product and that there many people who are happy using it,
just like there are many people happy using Jetspeed. Again, I just feel that your
post on the Jetspeed list was at best inappropriate.

Maybe you should start looking at Jetspeed again. Jetspeed 2 is framework agnostic
and will allow to plug in Struts based portlet applications. You could possibly port
some of your existing applications into JSR-168 portlets, that way you wouldn't have
to worry about "ignoring" JSR-168.
