Here is a question for Jetspeed: How easy is it to install Jetspeed on an existing
Java Application Server? I'm not sure about other people, but just letting the
Jetspeed Dev team know that Jetpseed Portal is a great idea with a lot of support from
Apache, BUT from my perspective most people do not want to deal with the Turbine
framework and rather use already existing integration tools within their Application
Server (i.e. Authentication, Authorization, Database, etc.).

I definately wish Jetspeed 2 project good luck (as soon as the Pluto piece is
finished) and hope this little bit of critiscism helps Jetspeed become a better piece
of enterprise software.

Subject: [ANNOUNCE] Liferay Enterprise Portal 2.0 RC1 released (with
JSR-168 support)

Hello Everyone,

I would like to let you know that Liferay Enterprise Portal 2.0 Release Candidate 1
has been released. Liferay 2.0 RC1 supports the JSR-168 Portlet standard.

Liferay is a free open-source implementation of an
enterprise portal server similar to Jetspeed, WebSphere, Plumtree and Epicentric. It
provides personalization features similar to Yahoo and a vast array of pre-built
portlets such as Mail, News, Shopping Cart, Message Board, Wiki, and many more. All
the portlets are JSR-168 compliant. For more info, please visit http://www.liferay.com

You can download Liferay pre-configured with JBoss/Tomcat, JBoss/Jetty or Orion. Or if
you wish you can download the .EAR enterprise archive file and deploy it yourself in
your favorite application server. Documentation can be found on Liferay's website
http://www.liferay.com

The download page is here:
http://www.liferay.com/downloads/index.jsp

For a live demo of Liferay, please go to http://my.liferay.com and click on the "My
Liferay" link on the top right.

Regards,
Mete
