Try manually copying the xreg file after you do the ant install call. I'm not familair with this this task, so I can't say what it is that it is doing.

Thank you for answer. No, i am editing the xreg file, while tomcat is down.
I cannot understand: I stop tomcat, edit the .xreg file, write: "ant install:, then start tomcat, but when i try to add the portlet (customizer), there is no XSL portlet, in any category.
I also see that in in the .xreg file written under tomcat ($TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/jetspeed/WEB-INF/conf) the new changes are not stored, although the installing is done successfully.
