Well i never looked at that in that much detail. 

The instructions specified in this site to override the properties will lead you to a 
java file (look at web.xml) called JetspeedResourceService.java which is a servlet 
that gets instantiated at startup that does the magic of recognising the custom 
property file.

Hope that helps. I do not have the time otherwise i was planning to see how the 
bluesunrise tutorial overriding really works...:-)

Just curiously, is this functionality the same as calling 
org.apache.jetspeed.util.OverwriteProperties?  This is how the bluesunrise 
tutorials work.  Does the overriding technique override the bluesunrise 
technique of overwriting?
