I am using Jetspeed to build a scientific reserach User Portal. My Ant build
procedure deploys and unwars the jetspeed.war file into the $CATALINA_HOME/webapps
directory and then lays my portal additions on top of the jetspeed code.

The problem I am running into is that when i log into the portal and click on 2 or 3
tabs my images stop displaying and I get the ALT tag text instead. (this happens on
both Linux Firefox and Window IE). If I do a "View Source" on the page the paths to
the images look like "images/IMAGE_NAME.gif".

If i tell my browser to not display images and refresh the browser i can right-click
on the space where the image would be and choose "View Image". When I do so I get the
standard blue and white Tomcat error screen with a message that says

### Begin tomcat message

HTTP Status 404 - /portal/images/images/info.gif

type Status report

message /portal/images/images/info.gif

description The requested resource (/portal/images/images/info.gif) is not available.

### End tomcat message

Somehow an extra "images/" is getting inserted into the path and I can't figure out
why. I don't see anything in catalina.out, jetspeed.log, velocity.log or turbine.log
related to this probably because it doesn't produce any errors.

Has anyone seen this before? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric
