Hi All, I have used JavaScript 'Tigra' tree menu from SoftComplex. They have various versions and basic version is free. You can find the script at http://www.softcomplex.com/products/tigra_tree_menu/. They also have drop down menu and again basic version is free. http://www.softcomplex.com/products/tigra_menu/. I found it quite easy to set up.
I use the drop down menu across the top to tie all intranet sites together and tree menu in left navigational bar. Hope it helps.
