Thanks for your reply. Seems like I didnt fully understand the
deployment cycle in jetspeed..but now I can at least deploy the demo
portlets and some other portlets successfully in jetspeed/jonas. But, I
get this one when deploying security.war:

javax.servlet.ServletException: JetspeedContainerServlet:
Initialization of PortletApplication at security without access to its
real path not supported

It works if I manually copy the content of security.war to
webapps/security. I guess this is a known problem and will happen when
deploying to some other application server as well?
