Don't worry about it, Just let it do its thing.

Jetspeed 2 is not a finished product.
Packaging and installation documentation is being improved as we speak.

Hi, Ron !

Why did it try to download jetspeed-portal-2.0-M4-SNAPSHOT.jar ? As far as I
understand, it should compile this jar from local sources instead downloading.

You seem to be on the right track.
What problem did you run into? There are no errors in your e-mail.

Hi, All !

I tried to compile jetspeed-2 from sources as it described on
http://portals.apache.org/jetspeed-2/getting-started.html.

1. I get sources by "svn co http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/portals/jetspeed-2/trunk
jetspeed-2"

2. Copy build.properties.sample to build.properties and set:
org.apache.jetspeed.project.home = D:/sources/jetspeed-2/ org.apache.jetspeed.server.home = C:/Java/Tomcat-5.5 org.apache.jetspeed.catalina.version.major = 5.5

3. Run "maven initMavenPlugin" :
== Cut ==============================================
D:\sources\jetspeed-2>maven initMavenPlugins  __  __
|  \/  |__ _Apache__ ___
| |\/| / _` \ V / -_) ' \  ~ intelligent projects ~
|_|  |_\__,_|\_/\___|_||_|  v. 1.0.2

Attempting to download jetspeed-portal-2.0-M4-SNAPSHOT.jar.
== Cut ==============================================

Any other goals tried to download jetspeed-portal-2.0-M4-SNAPSHOT.jar.
What problem ? How can I compile jetspeed-2 from latest sources ?

WBR, Alex.
