Worthwhile, in my opinion. Specially if you don't have that many custom
portlets, etc. that tie you to J1

Depends a lot on the amount of J1 development you have. Obviously, it
will take time to "adapt" yourself to J2, but I guess the most painful
effort would be to rewrite the portal, if needed.

I think setting up two portals in parallel, the old one, and a J2 one,
for a test, would be the safest way.
