This preference would normally be a part of the portlet.xml and thus
would be picked up automatically by the base portlet
I'll add the HEIGHT to the demo's portlet.xml, thanks for pointing that out

Found the answer...
If you want to adjust the height of the IFrame Portlet, which you can
use to display another web page within your portal...
1. Login in to the portal as admin, then go to the Jetspeed
Administrative Portlets "folder" (using the navigation links on the
left).
2. Select the Portlet Application Manager tab at the top of the page
3. Using the tree control for "Application Tree View", expand the
APP_ROOT node, demo, then select the IFrame Portlet
4. Then in the "Portlet Application Detail" select the Preferences
tab.
5. Use the "Add Preference" form to add a new Preference with name
"HEIGHT" (no quotes) and what ever value you want your portlet to be
(e.g. 1000)
That's it, your IFrame portlet will now use the new height.
Also shows up on http://jetspeed-hacking.blogspot.com/

Subject: resizing the IFrame portlet?
Hi Folks,
Can anyone provide a quick pointer to where I can specify a height
for the IFrame portlet? I see the MAX-HEIGHT preference but it seems to
have no effect on the way the portlet is rendered on the page (firefox
1.5.0.2, IE 6.0.xxx).
Looking around in the layouts (and psml files) I haven't been able to
"grok" how to set portlet height dimensions yet.
