Servlet never even crossed my mind..I've been stuck in portlet mode for so
long now.  I'm thinking that I will have to make the entry point of our site
a servlet that checks for the cookie, and authenticates the user if it is
found. Then redirects to our main page.  Is this how you would handle this
situation ?
