Thank you, as soon as i removed the contest-server section in the jetspeed- components.xml, i was able to build my portal war file.
Now here's a migration question. We were using jetspeed-2.1-dev in our production environment (not wise i know but seemed necessary to do so) and now that i'm testing what should be our new production box with jetspeed 2.1 and connecting to our testing database (which used jetspeed 2.1-dev to build the database tables), i'm getting errors in the catalina.log about a sql statement writing to PRINCIPAL_PERMISSION failed and some "unexpected security errors" with granting permissons and duplicate entries. I had already ran into a previous error which complained a certain "SECURITY_REF" did not exist so i created this column in the tables "portlet_definition" and "portlet_application" and this got rid of that problem. Is there any way for me to get this working without affecting the existing data? In other words, not doing a j2:quickStart on our portal and then deploying all servlets again.
