Hi.
Check that your registered email to list is the exact same as the one
you are sending the unsubscribe mail. I had once similar problems as I
had email addresses with both my student ID and my full name and they
were both pointing to the same mail box. I had registered with other and
tried to unregister with the other..

i got the confirmation mail but unfortunately every alternative mentioned in
