From working with Spring, I know that the library structure has change between Tomcat 5 and 6.
Did you get a ClassNotFound in the log?

This has probably been asked before but I did not find anything in a

Am I going to have any unusual fun trying to get Jetspeed to work with
Tomcat 6 and Java 6. I have Spring working with this combination and I
would like to keep running current releases of the infrastructure since
I know that once I get something into production it becomes a lot harder
to upgrade the underlying technology so I want to start at least the
current supported releases.

I built the latest source and tried running jetspeed on Tomcat 6.0.10
using Java 5. The web context could not be deployed. The error was
"Error in listener". I tried to debug but could not get any more
details. The same build works flawlessly :) on Tomcat 5.5.20
