As far as I understand, you are trying to redirect the request to a new page
after successful
login.
How about create a new psml page containing Security QnA portlet?
IMHO, your valve can invoke RequestContext.getResponse().sendRedirect("a new
psml page") in your
valve. (See o.a.j.security.impl.SecurityValveImpl and
o.a.j.security.impl.AbstractSecurityValve.)
